Privacy and cookies

What personal data DNB Events collects, why, and your rights under UK data protection law.

This notice explains how Out Out Media Ltd (“we”), which runs DNB Events, uses personal data. We are the data controller. Contact: privacy@dnbevents.uk, or write to Out Out Media Ltd, 6 Gad Close, London E13 0BD.

What we collect

  • Newsletter: your email address and the city you choose, so we can send the weekly email. Lawful basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe from any email.
  • Event submissions and emails to us: your name, email and the event details you send, so we can check and list the event and reply. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
  • Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, approximate location, device type and how you arrived (for example from a search engine or an AI assistant). Lawful basis: consent. Analytics stays off unless you click “Accept analytics”.
  • Server logs: our host (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Cookies

We set no tracking cookies unless you accept analytics. If you do, Google Analytics sets cookies starting _ga that last up to two years. We store your cookie choice in your browser. Change it any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Who we share data with

Our email provider (to send the newsletter), Google (analytics, only with consent) and Cloudflare (hosting). Some of these process data outside the UK under UK-approved safeguards. We never sell your data. Ticket purchases happen on the seller’s site under their privacy policy, not ours.

How long we keep it

Newsletter details until you unsubscribe. Submission emails for up to two years. Analytics data for 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent, by emailing privacy@dnbevents.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
