Brighton is home turf for Friction, who grew up in the city, founded Shogun Audio and presented BBC Radio 1's drum & bass show from 2012 to 2017. The Prototypes formed here in 2007.

Most nights happen along the seafront. The Volks in the Madeira Drive arches runs Sabotage every Thursday, and Concorde 2, which holds about 600 and stays open until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, hosts the bigger tours. Quarters, which opened in autumn 2025, is the newest room on our list.

The last train to London leaves at around 11:30pm; after that it's night buses along the seafront or the taxi ranks on East Street.
